Issue 3: Another C-Suite Appointment Consigned To The Exit Bin Within 18 Months – This Time Within 5 Months At Manchester United FC!

This week, I offer my thoughts and observations on the VERY visible and high profile departure of Mr. Dan Ashworth from Manchester United Football Club.

He falls into the category of the 50%+ (yes, 50%+), of ALL new C-Suite executives who fail to last more than 18 months in post!

So what has gone wrong here – I hazard a guess in that it is NOT because he is not competent.

There is a lot of evidence that he is VERY competent! But is has NOT worked, and in this case at one of the biggest football clubs in the world. He has been in post 5 months!
