Issue 20: Dependency on Digital!

How dependent are we on the Digital Age?

I have experienced three Power Outages in the last 24 hours!

And quite frankly, it virtually stopped me from functioning! If, like me, one makes a conscious effort to save everything digitally, it does leave us somewhat exposed!

Now, it was hardly the experiences of some recently (Spain/Portugal, Heathrow, & UK Retail Cyberattacks), but it has left me wondering how exposed we all are to mere blips in “the system”. And as a family member said to me a while ago as well, “Where do we find all your financial details if you were to exit this world in a hurry?”, the answer being “With great difficulty!” without all my electronic passwords and recognition features!

A final thought as well on a separate subject- my Clarendon Chronicles Podcast returns on Wednesday 7 May airing at 1000.
